Is there anyone here old enough to remember the old Life Dynamics Alphanetics Course which was being promoted during the late 1970s? Well if any of you did the course then I'd like to see how you all got on with it.

would love to know what it entailed.

There were two Life Dynamics Alphanetics Courses that I did. One was the basic and the other was the Super Alphanetics course. They both consisted of a set of cassette tapes which required listening to in sequence. Each tape to be played morning and evening for about 3 weeks before advancing on to the next one.

Each tape consisted of a set of instructions aided at the subconscious min to get you to the 'alpha' level. i.e when your brain vibrates between 14 and 7 cycles per second. On the basic course each tape featured inspirational messages on a particular psychological or spiritual topic. Such as relaxation, stress reduction, improved memory, overcoming loneliness, improving self image, successful living, etc. The Super Alphanetics course consisted of instructions for deeper levels of relaxation and creative visualisation. the basic course required the use of a yantra which was a pyramid type image.

I found that the claims for benefits of these courses to be geatly exagerated, but they did help to make me more relaxed and improved my confidence a little.
