Hi,
What topics would you like to have a free teleseminar about?
What if you could ask a personal development expert any questions you like?
What would they be?

What I want to know about is getting started taking action. Usually all I get is motivational stuff, but the problem is that most of me doesn't think my life is worth the effort to live it. How can I start taking action when I don't feel like it - I'd rather be asleep - and worst of all I don't know where to begin. My job takes up so much of my time and energy that I don't even feel like cooking, cleaning, and doing laundry most of the time especially knowing it is just going to cost money I barely have.
And I don't watch teleseminars ... got transcripts?

Interesting reply.
As for taking action, I agree it can be a challenge. This is for everyone who feels that they just don't have time to get started or go for it.
This might help. (Or it might just annoy you)
I like to recall that every one of us has only 24 hours in a day to use. It doesn't matter if it is you or I or Bill Gates. The key is what do we do with them?
I understand that at the end of a day we are tired. What if we woke up a little earlier?
I myself am up (because of work) at 5:30 and my day is pretty packed until about 5 PM. I try to utilize every "working" minute for work. Not just my job work but my own personal development and business work.
I know, your job is different.
I am a teacher so I have very structured times to work, can't leave the building or take calls. I have owned over $1,000,000 of residential real estate but sold half of my holdings since and have a personal development business. But the few minutes of "FREE" time I use to my benefit to return calls and emails etc.
When I play I play.
I get home, eat dinner with my family and help take care of my 2 kids (ages 4 and 2) and after I put them to bed I go to work on my fortune. I admit, some days I just relax but not most. some nights I am on a teleseminar some posting comments to boards like this.
I believe the key is to find something we are passionate about so that fatigue doesn't matter.
The truth is, start small but start.
Excuses are reasons for failure and I don't want to fail. (I have done that enough times)
So in a nutshell, Start small but start.
Work when you are most productive and work smart.
Most of all just decide to do it.
I end with this question. If you are waiting for someone to come by and turn you on, what happens if they don't come by?

It is possible I wasn't quite clear about what I meant ... normally all the advice seems to be to pick something you really want and to go toward it. Writing out a list of things that are not wanted seems to be an option given as a last resort, to help clarify what is wanted and then the list is to be immediately disposed of. What do you tell people who end up deciding that the action they want to take is to avoid all action and never really get started and to just do their time and be an organ donor some day? (And to be left alone for the duration, of course ... it takes all sorts of things just to coast, like food and shelter.)

I would reply with a question.
Why do you want to do nothing and just do your time?
That is what prison is for and they will even feed and clothe you.
I would say to that person, think deeply about why you think you want that. Is it because you are bored and burned out at your current job?
I used to feel that way.
Then I discovered my true purpose. (after much thought and meditation and failure at other things)
Now, doing mothing offers no excitement for me.
As I said, I wake up, jump out of bed and am excited to meet the new day!
So, my advice is to search deep inside and decide what you really would do if money were no object and then get started doing it.
Decide who you want to be in 10 years and then set out on becoming that person. You don't have to be that person tomorrow. You have 10 years.
